Every so often I get a request that’s a little different from something I’ve done before. I love it because I’m able to push my boundaries as an artist and entrepreneur and grow my skill-set. This has been the summer of the babies. All. Of. The. Babies.
I’ve never considered myself a “baby person” but I have to say that maternity photos are so fun! Much like engagement photos, it’s such an exciting and life-changing time for those involved and I’m so honored to take part in capturing the special-ness .
I first met Chelsea a couple years ago through my sister, she’s a relative of my brother-in-law. Over the past couple years, she’s attended several family holidays and birthdays but I never really attempted to get to know her until she approached me to do her maternity and newborn photos. Of course, now I love her like a long-lost cousin and she recently moved away #ShyGirlProblems.
Her shoot was so fun and breezy, she was the perfect client to have for my first go at maternity photos. I’m so happy with how they turned out. About a month later, this little man graced us with his presence:
Welcome to the world, baby Kash! He slept like this for most of the shoot. I was afraid going in that he might cry the whole time and my photos wouldn’t meet Chelsea and Kris’s expectations. Luckily there was little crying, and much to Kris’s dismay, he rocked the cute little bunny outfit.
Congratulations to this beautiful, new family. Wishing you the best of luck from North Idaho!
