Road Trippin’

I’ve always preferred northern Idaho to southern Idaho. The forested mountains, abundance of lakes, rivers and hiking trails, and full four seasons leave little more to be desired. With this said, I have to admit how much I love visiting big cities. Seattle is my favorite, but we visit Boise a lot because my husband is a Boisian (Boiseite?). When he first moved back down there for college in 2006 I made up my mind that anything and everyone associated…

Scarywood

So we're fortunate enough to have scored tickets to Scarywood on Wednesday before it opened for the public. I was thoroughly impressed by the animatronics and quite honestly the employee's commitment to their characters. Between the coco, ghouls, haunted houses, zombies, and rides we had a fabulous time. The Blood Bayou is probably the most impressive out of the haunted houses, but there is a new attraction this year that's in 3D. That was pretty stinkin' innovative. I definitely jumped…

I promise I'll exaggerate a lot less in the winter. But... This is one of my favorite weekends of the summer because it's the classic wooden boat…

Car d’Alene

The Car d'Alene is probably one of my favorite events of the summer. Where else do you get a ton of people in one place appreciating the art that is the classic car and just having a good time? Other than Lost in the 50's that is. The people in this area sure do have an affinity for classic cars, and I couldn't be happier about it. For years I've been calling the spring/summer months "classic car season" and it's…
