2013 Wrap Up

Can you believe that 2013 is already over?! My mind is blown. There was so much more I wanted to do and share with you throughout this year but boy does time fly. Today I want to do a little recap of some of my favorite posts to celebrate the awesomeness that was 2013. January Last January I announced that I would participate in a 365 Photo Challenge where I would attempt to take a photo every day for a…

Take a Hike | Gold Hill Trail 3

I've decided that this should be Kyle's new motto. Whenever we go camping or plan to be outside, he never checks the weather and opts not to go because of a little dampness (or a lot in some cases). Case in point: Last Friday we took the day off and went up to the Sagle/Sandpoint area for a little hiking. Much to my dismay it was pouring all day. Remember? I don't think I've had to water my plants since.…

A quick trip to Riley Creek

I tend to agree with this rather ironic statement produced by the man who made a profoundly more-than-casual attempt at capturing the beauty of the wilderness with his words. Theodore Roosevelt was, among many other things, a writer and explorer who preached the value of living a strenuous lifestyle and was responsible…

Camping love

I hope everyone had a fantastic Ironman weekend! I think I may have mentioned this before, but so far every year since we moved downtown, we've rented our house out for Ironman and so far (knock on wood) we've had nothing but good luck. Now it's back to the old grind even though I'm still daydreaming of long hikes, bike rides and beautiful Pend d'Oreille lake. We spent a good majority of our time at camp due to a few…
